1. Who we are

These terms are an agreement between you and West Africa Wander, Ghana Tourism Authority licence [number]. [Registered business name, registration number and address]. They apply to every group trip and private trip booked through this website.

2. Booking and confirmation

You book by choosing a trip and a date, adding your travellers and confirming. Your seats are held as soon as you book, and we email you a confirmation with your booking reference.

The person who books is the lead traveller. They accept these terms for everyone on the booking and must be at least [minimum age, from the client].

3. Booking and payment

  • Deposits: you pay a deposit when you book and the balance later. How much each part is, and when it is due, is set for each trip (and for each private quote) and shown on the trip page and before you pay. Bookings made very close to the start are paid in full at booking.
  • Payment methods: payments are in Ghana cedis (GHS) or US dollars (USD), by card or by MTN, Telecel or AT Mobile Money through Paystack.
  • Price changes: prices are based on availability and may change due to demand or other factors. The final price is confirmed at booking, and it already includes payment fees.

4. Changes you make

Written requests to change a booking must be made 48 hours in advance, subject to availability and possible fees.

5. Changes we make

We may change itineraries or services because of unforeseen circumstances, offering comparable alternatives when possible.

6. Cancellations

If you cancel more than 48 hours before departure, you get back what you have paid, minus a 10% fee on that amount. Within 48 hours there is no refund, except in cases of force majeure, and there is no refund for no-shows. If we cancel a tour, you receive a full refund or the option to reschedule, subject to availability.

The full policy is on our Cancellations and refunds page.

7. Travel requirements

  • Documents: you are responsible for valid travel documents, such as your passport and visa, and the yellow fever certificate Ghana asks visitors for.
  • Health: tell us about any medical conditions or mobility needs when you book.
  • Insurance: comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

8. Conduct

  • Behaviour: respect others and local communities. Disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from the tour without a refund.
  • Environment: respect local environments and cultural sites.

9. Photography

We may use tour photos and videos for promotion unless you opt out in writing when you book. Please ask before photographing other people.

10. Our responsibility

We plan and run your trip with reasonable care and skill. [The limits of our responsibility, from the client's lawyer]
